Onsite Technologies, participates as an industrial player in SINTEF’s research project EnergyProSafe
EnergyProSafe is a research project that aims to strengthen sustainability and safety throughout the biocarbon chain, from production to use as renewable reducing agents in the metal industry.
The project will develop new knowledge and solutions to address challenges related to the use of biocarbon, which is an important, renewable alternative to fossil coal.
This four-year research project (2025-2028) focuses on:
Improve energy production from biocarbon processes.
Increase safety related to the production, handling and use of biocarbon.
Support the transition from fossil to renewable reduction agents in the metallurgical industry, thereby contributing to Norway’s and the industry’s goal of net zero emissions.

and research actors such as:
SINTEF Energy Research (Norway), Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) (Norway), RISE Fire Research (Norway), Luleå University of Technology (LTU) (Sweden), Mälardalen University (Sweden)
who are all working on this project under the leadership of SINTEF.
